Re: Hong Kong: Swine and Seasonal Flu Monitor

Injection peak This article focuses on carefully caused by paralysis syndrome
The average one burst per week

Government's influenza vaccination program started next Monday, plus end of the year again for the swine flu (H1N1 influenza) vaccination of high-risk groups, injection greatly increased population, a matter of concern whether it will lead can cause paralysis, Djiba Syndrome . Hospital Authority ○ ○ Banian received a total of three to about 300 Djiba's syndrome cases and twenty people were killed in the past three flu seasons have a woman beat the disease after flu shot. Infectious disease experts say no evidence to suggest Djiba's disease, vaccine-related, even if the public row this year and the swine flu vaccination for seasonal influenza vaccine, it does not mean increased risk.
HA ○ ○ Banian Sannian Zhi Shi Yue received a total of 298 reports Djiba's disease, resulting in 20 deaths. Projections of our average annual incidence rate 7.4 per 1 million people have a mortality rate of 0.5 per 1 million people. The incidence of the international community for every one million people is about 10-20. CHP and HA ○ Wunian starting to monitor for a year free of charge in public hospitals or clinics receive influenza vaccination to specific groups, in the past three flu seasons, only one Djiba's disease cases, the patient was 69 year-old woman, three months after injection onset, the final successful rehabilitation, there is no evidence to suggest that the disease with the vaccine related to the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks are still evident.

The average one burst per week
HKU infection and Ho Pak-leung, director of Infectious Disease Center refers to the monitoring after vaccination, usually for six weeks, if more than one million people vaccinated, a few can be sure in the next six weeks will appear Djiba's disease and even death, but not proof of vaccine-related, "the incidence of Hong Kong dollars, nearly 50 per year, almost equal to number every Monday is certainly possible咁fits Where Once on shore, after needle." So even if the public needed this year for seasonal influenza vaccination and two kinds of swine flu vaccine, it does not mean increased risk. He was referring to European and American countries have started the vaccination program, to get the vaccine in Hong Kong, the world should be at least 10 million people vaccinated, the Government should as soon as possible to the public the relevant data to address the concern.

In addition, influenza vaccine manufacturers, said the tournament诺菲巴斯特observed 470 children were vaccinated after the reaction of swine influenza vaccine was found for children from six months to three years of age, if vaccinated, only half of them could generate sufficient antibody , so that the year-old children should receive two doses of vaccine would be sufficient.

Center for Health Protection on the 10th of this month on the 4th to the week, received a 1572 swine influenza cases in Hong Kong ended the day before yesterday recorded a total of Sanwan ○七百二十九Zong swine influenza. http://orientaldaily.on.cc/cnt/news/20091016/00176_043.html?pubdate=20091016
