In September, the state and local governments put about 200,000 tons of government pork reserves at lower than market prices

National Development and Reform Commission 2022-09-16 02:42

In order to ensure the stable supply and price of pork in the Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day and other festivals, the state and local governments simultaneously launched the release of government pork reserves in September. At present, the first batch of central pork reserves was completed on September 8, and the second batch will be released on September 18; most provinces have started the release of local government pork reserves. According to the amount already put in and the plan for later release, it is expected that the country and localities will put about 200,000 tons of pork reserves in September, and the amount put in a single month will reach the highest level in history. From the perspective of the delivery price, the delivery price of pork reserves in the country and all regions is lower than the market price. Among them, the delivery price of some cities in Jiangxi and Anhui is less than 10 yuan per catty, and the price of Guangxi, Heilongjiang, Shandong and other places is about 12 yuan per catty. The timely release of pork reserves at lower prices by the state and local governments can effectively meet the needs of the people for pork consumption during the festival, and play an important role in stabilizing the prices of live pigs and pork.

At present, the national and local pork reserve resources are sufficient, which can meet the needs of market regulation. In the next step, the National Development and Reform Commission will continue to release the central pork reserves in batches with relevant departments according to the market supply, demand and price situation, and continue to guide local governments to jointly release pork reserves. Smooth operation.
