2021-02-05 17:06 Reporter: Wu Tingting Editor: Bai Shuang

The Education Commission of Daxing District will continue to do a good job of daily tracking of teachers and students at home after the release of centralized isolation, and pay attention to the health of teachers and students.

Beijing News Express (Reporter Wu Tingting, Correspondent Du Li) On the morning of February 5th, the first batch of teachers and students from medical observation points in Daxing District who had expired after their centralized isolation period began to return to the community. According to relevant regulations, those who have ended the centralized medical observation are also required to undergo a seven-day home isolation. After the expiration of the home quarantine period, the community must continue to conduct health monitoring within 7 days.

Early this morning, the teachers, students, and parents of the medical observation point who had lifted the centralized isolation packed up their luggage and got on the bus to go home. After the car started, they waved thanks to the staff at the isolation point through the window glass, and "Dabai" in protective clothing sent everyone a blessing. Student Tongtong (pseudonym) said: "The period of isolation and observation is very unforgettable for me. I feel the warmth like home. There are toys, school supplies, etc. sent to us by "Dabai", and there are friends and teachers. Regards, thank you very much for your concern and help to us."

The reporter learned that taking into account the needs of people returning to the community in adapting to the community management system, psychological counseling, and living supplies, the staff of Tiangongyuan Street deliberately prepared a welcome banner in advance, and prepared "heart-warming services for those returning from isolation." "Packs" include the "three guidelines", namely, guidelines for home observation, guidelines for medical treatment and purchase of medicines, guidelines for purchasing daily necessities, and the "four-piece suit" necessary for disinfection, namely masks, gloves, disinfectant, and watering can. At the same time, there is also a "meal" that is convenient for returning personnel to rest at home.

In addition, the Education Commission of Daxing District will continue to do a good job of daily tracking of teachers and students at home after the release of centralized isolation, and pay attention to the health of teachers and students.

    Absolutely true.
There is a German press report from an Israeli doctor stating that 184 passengers on a flight from Dubai were infected by a single individual with the more contagious variant of this virus.

If that finding is validated, lockdowns are going to be near impossible, leaving vaccines as the only possible solution.

More than 1,200 people were tested at a school attended by one pupil with an asymptomatic case of the British strain. Each of the contacts at the school had nasal, saliva and anal swabs as well as serum tests – all of which were negative.

The virus is pretty infectious, so delay just makes things worse. Lucky China that they have the means to use this.

I would like to live in a high risk zone (as defined by China) rather than anywhere in the UK defined as low risk.
My impression is that China has a very low threshold for declaring a "high risk" zone. It could take as little as 3 - 4 positive cases in area of a few blocks, I believe. They are trying to stop COVID-19 in its tracks. They have an extremely aggressive set of policies to try to accomplish a containment approach in a country of 1.4 billion people.
