Chinese Academy of Sciences investigates "90 resignation incidents" and uses objective facts to dispel doubts

The public not only expects the real “insiders” of the “collective resignation of more than 90 people” to come out as soon as possible, but also hope to see a true restoration of the scientific research environment and possible problems of the scientific research institutions involved.

On July 20, the Chinese Academy of Sciences announced that in response to the recent reports of the collective resignation of more than 90 people from its research unit at the Hefei Institute of Material Science, which caused widespread concern, the Chinese Academy of Sciences party group has established and sent a special working group to Hefei to investigate.

The working group arrived at the Hefei Institute of Material Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences on July 19 to conduct investigations. The working group is headed by Wang Keqiang, member of the Party Group of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Secretary-General, and heads of relevant departments and bureaus of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Nuclear Safety, and more than 90 people collectively resigned...As soon as the news composed of these keywords came out, it immediately boarded the hot search. After all, it is difficult not to arouse social curiosity when such a big "extraordinary movement" occurs in the "stalwart" units such as scientific research institutes and the group of highly educated scientific researchers.

But the follow-up of this matter obviously should not stop at the level of "eating melons" by the onlookers. Although the Hefei Institute of Material Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences previously responded that resignation is a "normal flow of personnel", and the relevant documents of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security also "encourage the flow of talents from party and government agencies, state-owned enterprises and institutions to non-public economic organizations and social organizations", but Within half a year, nearly a hundred people from an institute have resigned. Not only does it seem rare to the outside world, but it is also appropriate to publicly explain why.

From a small perspective, this is related to whether the talent environment of the scientific research institution involved is normal, and from a large perspective, it is also related to the scientific research development of the institution. Therefore, it is indeed necessary for the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as a superior unit, to intervene in the investigation.

According to Kui's current public reports, the reasons for the "90 employees resignation incident" can be described as confusing and confusing.

For example, there are treatments, the forced replacement of security guards, the reform of the game, the digging of walls, and the internal disputes about the use of personnel... The scientific research unit appears to be "mysterious", and so many "insiders" have exploded. What is the truth? Before the official investigation results are released, the outside world has no way of judging which ones are fake or both.

Obviously, this "different opinions" situation itself can explain some problems, that is, whether so many scientific researchers collectively resign in a short period of time can explain all of them in one sentence of "normal flow", and it really needs to be investigated.

To some extent, all kinds of unconfirmed "rumors" also provide directions for follow-up investigations. There is right and wrong, obviously what should be clarified must be clarified, and what should be dealt with must be dealt with. Another detail to note is that scientific research institutes generally have the attribute of "secret-related", and the flow of talents is often restricted and regulated accordingly. In a short period of time, if so many scientific researchers collectively leave their jobs, whether they comply with the relevant procedures and regulations, and the normal scientific research order How much impact it will bring should be carefully examined.

In fact, the comprehensive information from all parties and the investigation of this matter should not be limited to the digging of the truth of a single incident: there are reports that the annual turnover rate of the nuclear institute involved is the highest in the entire institute, with 500 people at the peak. There has been a rapid loss of talents over the past few years, and only 200 people started last year. If this statement is true, is such a high brain drain rate still in the normal range? Are there any common reasons behind it?

Today, the Chinese Academy of Sciences has sent a special working group to Hefei to conduct an investigation, which is undoubtedly in line with public expectations. The public not only expects the real “insiders” of the “collective resignation of more than 90 people” to come out as soon as possible, but also hope to see a true restoration of the scientific research environment and possible problems of the scientific research institutions involved. It is hoped that relevant parties will finally use objective facts to dispel the doubts.
