China - Patients bringing cots to over crowded hospital emergency departments in Beijing - September 17, 2016
I have never seen this before. The source states that there are not enough beds in the emergency departments in several hospitals in Beijing so patient's families are buying cots to place in the hallways. No particular disease is mentioned as a cause of the over crowding. Elderly and terminal patients are cited as some of the patients in the hallways. North Hospital and Friendship Hospital are specifically mentioned.
