    CHP closely monitors two additional human cases of avian influenza A(H7N9) in Mainland


    The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health (DH) is closely monitoring, as of yesterday (April 3), two additional human cases of avian influenza A(H7N9) respectively in Shenzhen and Anhui according to the latest reports of the Mainland health authorities.

    The case in Shenzhen involves a man aged 37 while the case in Anhui is a man aged 30. They are currently hospitalised for treatment.

    A total of 398 human cases of avian influenza A(H7N9) have been confirmed in the Mainland, including:
    1. Zhejiang (138 cases),
    2. Guangdong (97 cases),
    3. Jiangsu (46 cases),
    4. Shanghai (41 cases),
    5. Fujian (22 cases),
    6. Hunan (20 cases),
    7. Anhui (11 cases),
    8. Jiangxi (six cases),
    9. Beijing (four cases),
    10. Henan (four cases),
    11. Guangxi (three cases),
    12. Shandong (three cases),
    13. Guizhou (one case, imported from Zhejiang),
    14. Hebei (one case) and
    15. Jilin (one case).
