If confirmed by WHO as a case from SIchuan province - this will be the first H7N9 case from that province as indicated by the latest Hong Kong CHP which is a cumulative H7N9 list by province. Sichuan province does not appear on the list. link

There was a confirmed H5N6 human case in Sichuan province in 2014:

      1) Male, 49, in hospital April 23, 2014 with severe pnuemonia, diagnosed May 3, died May 6, Nanchong City, Nanbu County, Sichuan province Death
