Another seven people in Hong Kong are undergoing tests for the H7N9 strain of bird flu that has killed six people on the mainland.
Two previous suspected cases in Hogn Kong have tested negative.
Earlier, the Health Secretary, Ko Wing-man, said the government would introduce a quick test for the virus in imported poultry and from Thursday 30 out of every one thousand birds will be randomly tested, RTHK reports.
Ko said if any are found to have the H7N9 strain, the government may consider a cull.
