The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health is today (April 18) closely monitoring a human case of avian influenza A(H7N9) in Hebei, and again urged the public to maintain strict personal, food and environmental hygiene both locally and during travel.
According to the Health and Family Planning Commission of Hebei Province, the male farmer aged 67 from Langfang was hospitalised for chest infection.

Hebei Province Health and Family Planning Commission informed, Langfang City, Hebei Province, confirmed a case of human infection H7N9 virus cases. Patients Liu, male, 67 years old, Langfang big city people, farmers, because of lung infection hospitalization. By the Langfang City Center for Disease Control and Prevention laboratory tests, patients with H7N9 virus nucleic acid positive. The clinical manifestations, laboratory tests and epidemiological findings of the expert group were diagnosed as human infection with H7N9 virus.
