China - Beijing HFPC announces new H7N9 case - May 29, 2016

First, before the epidemic
2016 Week 21 (2016 May 23 to 29), the city reported a total of 19 kinds of legal infectious diseases 2675 cases and 3 deaths. Before five reported cases of the diseases were: foot and mouth disease, other infectious diarrhea, dysentery, tuberculosis and syphilis, which together account for 86.13% of the number of reported cases of legal infectious diseases. This week the city case report of human infection with H7N9 avian influenza cases, patients Tongzhou District, male, 49 years old.
There seems to be a shift to primarily reporting cases in middle aged/elderly men. In addition to the above case:
#777 - Female, 43, [Hwang], mother of case #778, works in Fujian province, lives and hospitalized in Jiangxi province WHO rpt May 17
#778 - Male, 23, [Xaiomou], son of case #777, works in Fujian province, lives and hospitalized in Jiangxi province WHO rpt May 17
#779 - Male, 62, [Zhu}, hospitalized in critical condition, Ma'anshan City, Anhui province
#780 - Male, 80, hospitalized in stable condition in Hong Kong, exposure to wet market & slaughtered chicken in Dongguan, Guangdong province WHO rpt 26/4/16
#781 - Male. 58, announced by Xinhua April 30, confirmed by FAO, hospitalized in critical condition, Laizhou, Shandong Province
#782 - Zhejiang province HFPC announced 1 case for April 2016, Zhejiang province
#783-788 - Jiangsu province HFPC announced 6 cases including 5 deaths for April 2016 Jiangsu province 5 Death
#789 - Male, 57, [Zhao], onset May 10, hospitalized May 16, serious condition, from Xinji City, Hebei province
