China - NHFPC announces 96 H7N9 cases including 47 deaths for March 2017 - April 12, 2017
China reported 47 human fatalities from H7N9 bird flu in March, the national health authority said on Wednesday, compared with 61 deaths in February.
It also reported 96 cases of human infection from H7N9 bird flu for last month, according to a statement posted on the website of the National Health and Family Planning Commission.
General Situation of National Statutory Infectious Diseases in March

March 2017 (March 1, 2010 0:00 to March 31 24:00), the country (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, the same below) reported a total of 544,132 cases of legal infectious diseases, 1589 deaths. Among them, Class A infectious disease plague, cholera without disease, death report. Infectious Atypical Pneumonia, Diphtheria, Poliomyelitis and Human Infection Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus Infection, death report, the remaining 22 infectious diseases were reported 325791 cases, 1579 deaths. The top five diseases reported were viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, syphilis, gonorrhea and bacterial and amoebic dysentery, accounting for 95% of the total reported cases of Class B infectious diseases.
In the same period, the incidence of filariasis was not reported in the disease, and the death rate was reported. The remaining 10 infectious diseases reported a total of 218,341 cases and 10 deaths. The top three diseases reported were followed by other infectious diarrheal diseases, hand, foot and mouth disease and influenza, accounting for 90% of the total reported cases of Class C infectious diseases.
