  • China - Chongqing a new case of H7N9 infection - March 15, 2017

    Chongqing, March 15 (Reporter Liu Xianglin) reporter on the 15th from the Chongqing Municipal Health Commission confirmed that the city confirmed a new case of human infection H7N9 cases.     Fengjie County (Chongqing City) reoirted an H7N9 case after their confirmation by CDC's test on Mar. 14, 2017.

    Age: 43 years olde
    Sex: Male
    Current situation: being hospitalized for treatment.
    Close contact: Number is not disclosed yet but none showed ILI symptoms yet.

        CHP closely monitors human case of avian influenza A(H7N9) in Chongqing

        The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health is today (March 16) closely monitoring an additional human case of avian influenza A(H7N9) in Chongqing, and again urged the public to maintain strict personal, food and environmental hygiene both locally and during travel.

        According to the Chongqing Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission, the male patient from Fengjie, aged 43, had been in contact with poultry and has been hospitalised for management.
