2015 years 10 months ( 2015 -year 10 month 1 day 0 Between 10 May 31 May 24 ), the country (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, the same below) of notifiable infectious diseases were reported542,178 cases of death 1276 people. Among them, the CPI infectious plague incidence and deaths have been reported , the incidence of cholera were reported in 2 cases , no deaths. B infectious SARS, polio, diphtheria and highly pathogenic avian influenza incidence and deaths have been reported, and the remaining 22 kinds of infectious diseases were reported incidence of 280,296 cases, deaths 1268 people.Before the reported incidence of 5- digit diseases were viral hepatitis, tuberculosis, syphilis, bacillary and amoebic dysentery, and schistosomiasis, the total number of reported cases of class B infectious diseases91% . Same period, the country reported a total incidence of Class C infectious diseases 261880 cases of death 8 people. Where filariasis morbidity, mortality report, the number of reported incidence of the previous 3 -bit diseases were hand-foot-mouth disease, other infectious diarrhea and mumps, the total number of reported cases of class C infectious diseases 95 %

The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health (DH) today (November 11) was notified of two human cases of avian influenza A(H7N9) in Zhejiang by the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC), and again urged the public to maintain strict personal, food and environmental hygiene both locally and during travel. According to the NHFPC, the cases comprise a woman aged 62 in Shengzhou, and a female farmer aged 51 in Hangzhou. They had poultry exposure history and are currently in serious condition.
"Based on previous seasonal patterns, it is likely that the activity of avian influenza viruses might increase in winter. Heightened vigilance is warranted. Locally, we will work closely with the World Health Organization and relevant health authorities to monitor the latest developments," a spokesman for the DH said.
So far, four cases have been reported by the NHFPC since October 2015 and all occurred in Zhejiang. From 2013 to date, 661 human cases of avian influenza A(H7N9) have been reported by the Mainland health authorities.
The DH's Port Health Office conducts health surveillance measures at all boundary control points. Thermal imaging systems are in place for body temperature checks on inbound travellers. Suspected cases will be immediately referred to public hospitals for follow-up.
The display of posters and broadcast of health messages in departure and arrival halls as health education for travellers is under way. The travel industry and other stakeholders are regularly updated on the latest information.
Travellers, especially those returning from avian influenza-affected areas with fever or respiratory symptoms, should wear masks, seek medical attention and reveal their travel history to doctors. Healthcare professionals should pay special attention to patients who might have had contact with poultry, birds or their droppings in affected areas.
The public should remain vigilant and take heed of the advice against avian influenza below:
* Do not visit live poultry markets and farms. Avoid contact with poultry, birds and their droppings;
* If contact has been made, thoroughly wash hands with soap;
* Avoid entering areas where poultry may be slaughtered and contact with surfaces which might be contaminated by droppings of poultry or other animals;
* Poultry and eggs should be thoroughly cooked before eating;
* Wash hands frequently with soap, especially before touching the mouth, nose or eyes, handling food or eating; after going to the toilet or touching public installations or equipment (including escalator handrails, elevator control panels and door knobs); and when hands are dirtied by respiratory secretions after coughing or sneezing;
* Cover the nose and mouth while sneezing or coughing, hold the spit with a tissue and put it into a covered dustbin;
* Avoid crowded places and contact with fever patients; and
* Wear masks when respiratory symptoms develop or when taking care of fever patients.
