Date: 2022-07-22

On July 22 , the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs received a report from the China Center for Animal Disease Control and Prevention, which was confirmed by the National Avian Influenza Reference Laboratory . An outbreak of H5N1 subtype highly pathogenic avian influenza occurred in Gangcha County and Gonghe County, Qinghai Province, resulting in death. 273 wild birds . After the outbreak of the epidemic, the local government immediately carried out emergency response work in accordance with the relevant emergency implementation plans, carried out harmless treatment of all sick and dead wild birds, and monitored and investigated surrounding poultry to implement emergency immunization. Up to now, no abnormal situation of local poultry has been found.

This is the first highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak in my country this year.
