    Dec. 4, 2006

    BrownfieldAgNews reports:

The live poultry markets that are common throughout China may be in jeopardy.

A document from the State Council says China is considering phasing them out to prevent the spread of bird flu.

The document recommends banning new live poultry markets and moving existing live markets out of urban areas, according to a story on the World Poultry Magazine website.

Culturally, thats a huge shift, isn't it?
Upon this gifted age, in its dark hour,
Rains from the sky a meteoric shower
    Of facts....They lie unquestioned, uncombined.
Wisdom enough to leech us of our ill
Is daily spun, but there exists no loom
