                      It is not clear how long this child was hospitalized. He was initially admitted on May 28th and according to treyfish's post above he was still being hospitalized on June 18th, some 21 days later. If the child has only been release recently (in July) he could have been treated for up to 6 weeks.

                      This is another example of an H5N1 case that had to receive extensive hospitalization and care to recover. It should serve as a reminder that long term hospitalization will not be available in the throes of a virulent pandemic.
