Taipei, Jan. 3 (CNA) A Taiwanese couple was confirmed to have contracted chikungunya fever, a mosquito-borne disease with symptoms similar to dengue fever, after a visit to Indonesia last month, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) said Tuesday.
The CDC said the couple went to the Indonesian resort island of Bali last month and the wife developed a fever and muscle pains on Dec. 18.
