Nicaragua: Health alert after death chikungunya

Nicaragua declared Friday a national health alert after confirmed the first death from the virus chikungunya, and the spread of some three thousand people so far this year.
Nicaraguan Health Minister, Sonia Castro, reported on the alert, after a 22-month child had tested positive for the virus, lost his life last Thursday. The smaller the first fatality from the disease, after which in July 2014 the first case of infection was detected.
