According to the entity, to date, the most frequently identified influenza virus 'has been A H1N1pdm09, followed by AH3N2 and influenza B'. To date, there have been 11 deaths due to the influenza virus in the national territory, this was announced on Thursday by the Ministry of Health (Minsa), through the Epidemiological Surveillance System. Of these 11 cases, 10 are indigenous and one (1) imported, the Minsa explained that as background was observed in patients not vaccinated or partially vaccinated in 2019 against the virus and the history of co morbidity (chronic disease). In a statement, he tells the population that positive cases of respiratory viruses such as influenza A and B, parainfluenza, respiratory syncytial virus, adenovirus, metapneumovirus and rhinovirus are identified throughout the year; however, cases of influenza virus have been more frequent since May of the current year.
