    The third victim of the deadly virus had a chronic lung disease.

    He was taken to the San Juan de Dios hospital, where he died the previous Wednesday.

    He was a man of 55 years, who smoked for 42 years of his life.

    The immediate family of the deceased and received antiviral treatment.

    The other two fatalities were AHH1N1 of a woman 35 years, who died last week in San Juan de Dios hospital, she also suffered from hypertension and obesity.

    And in May died of a musician 53 years in the Calderon Guardia Hospital. Was diabetic, hypertensive and pulmonary disease.


    Given the situation, the doctors asked to go beyond extreme hygiene measures.
    3 In addition to these fatalities, Costa Rica registered 277 confirmed cases of influenza and 44 probable.

    The flu strikes primarily to children under 30 years, who represent 75 percent of cases.

    Costa Rica confirms one more A/H1N1 flu death

    SAN JOSE, July 5 (Xinhua) -- Costa Rica health authorities on Sunday reported the nation's third A/H1N1 flu death of a 55-year-old man, who died on Monday last week.

    The man had been hospitalized for in San Jose with severe pneumonia, and had been suffering from lung blockages before catching the flu, the Health Ministry said. He had been a smoker since age 13.

    Costa Rica's first death was on May 9, and its second on June 23, that of a woman suffering obesity.

    Authorities are testing samples taken from people with serious cases of pneumonia, even after they have died, for traces of A/H1N1, Costa Rica's health minister, Maria Luisa Avila, told Xinhua. The country currently has 229 confirmed cases and 77 samples of possible cases awaiting test results.
