As a result, the death toll is now 18, Dr. Clarke-Fletcher told St. Lucia News Online.

She released the names of several deceased persons on Facebook but did not specify the ones who fell victim to the dreaded virus.

She wrote: “This is not a pleasant task but I have to keep the record as our people in the Diaspora matter and must be remembered. Some of the names below have already been public. However, if you follow our page you can tally and keep abreast of the names and numbers. We have been informed of the passing of Mr. Joseph Desir and his wife Martha in the UK, Mr. Bwav Modeste of the UK, Mrs. Neola Haywood of the UK, Mr. Leonce Mc Elwin Mathurin Daniel of NY.
