Coronavirus in Guatemala: There are 74 cases and Giammattei asks the population to stay home
President Alejandro Giammattei announced this April 6 four new cases of coronavirus in Guatemala, with a total of 74. In addition, he asked Guatemalans not to leave their home to avoid further infections.

The death toll remains at three.
Among the four new cases there is a patient in a delicate state in the Intensive Care of the Villa Nueva Hospital.
Giammattei also reported that a 3-year-old girl and her mother were discharged on Monday, who recovered from the disease and returned home to continue the quarantine.
The minor's father had also recovered from covid-19 and now this family has been reunited, said the president.
The number of patients recovered amounted to 17.
Patient 71: a 22-year-old man from Patz?n
Patient 72: a 27-year-old man from Patz?n
Patient 73: a 39-year-old woman from Patz?n
Patient 74: a 76-year-old man from San Juan del Obispo, Antigua Guatemala, Sacatep?quez
This last patient is the one who is in serious condition.
Giammattei said that of the 19 tests carried out this Monday on residents of Patz?n, where the first community case was registered, only three came out positive.
