Coronavirus. No new cases, but one death to be deplored
If the number of confirmed cases has not changed (148), Guadeloupe regrets unfortunately a new death, this Tuesday, which brings to 9 the total number of deaths in our archipelago. She is a 74 year old woman with co-morbidities (suffering from other conditions). There was no known trip for this patient.
"This should make us realize that the epidemic is still active. Any loosening can again contribute to the spread of the virus on our territory. Strict compliance with confinement is essential in the next two weeks. We will not be able to implement the deconfinement strategy if the circulation of the virus is revived by a relaxation ”, insist in their joint statement the ARS and the Prefecture.
15 patients are hospitalized at CHUG: (12 patients in intensive care, 3 in medicine), there are no longer any patients hospitalized at CHBT or CH Marie-Galante.
Description of patients hospitalized in intensive care. In Guadeloupe, out of the 33 patients who have been in intensive care, there are 23 men (70%) and 10 women (30%). The average age is 66 with a minimum of 36 and a maximum of 84.
Today, a total of 73 people are declared cured in Guadeloupe.
