More than 1,900 cases of coronavirus in El Salvador and 2 new deceased
Two women, one 19 and the other 94, died in the last hours.
El Salvador registered 96 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours, bringing the global figure to 1,915 infections nationwide, of which 1,286 are still active and two more patients died.
The latest victims, both confirmed this Saturday, are two women, one 19 and the other 94, neither with a history of other chronic or aggravating diseases. Thus, the death toll from coronaviruses is now 35.
In addition to these 96 new infections, the Government confirmed that until 1:05 a.m. This Sunday there are 594 people recovered, after 24 patients were discharged.
On the other hand, suspicious cases continue to rise and 1,397 are already registered.
Regarding the new positive cases, 13 were registered in the municipality of Soyapango, 12 in San Salvador, 6 in Santa Ana, 4 in Panchimalco and Ahuachap?n, 3 in Tonacatepeque and San Miguel, and 2 in Ilopango, Mejicanos, Nuevo Cuscatl?n, Ciudad Arce , Santa Tecla, Candelaria, Monte San Juan, El Para?so and Nahuizalco.
The municipalities with a new contagion are: Ciudad Delgado, Rosario de Mora, Santo Tom?s, Atiquizaya, Jujutla, Turin, Candelaria de la Frontera, Santa Ana, Chalchuapa, El Congo, Metap?n, San Juan Opico, San Jos? Villanueva, San Pedro Perulap?n , Suchitoto, Chalatenango, Concepci?n Quezaltepeque, San Luis del Carmen, Zacatecoluca, San Pedro Masahuat, San Juan Nonualco, Santiago Nonualco, Usulut?n, Santa Elena, Santa Mar?a, Jiquilisco, El Tr?nsito, San Vicente, Tecoluca, Apastepeque, Juay?a, Ilobasco, Polor?s and San Francisco Gotera.
On the current diagnosis of the patients, the authorities report 29 people in critical condition, 81 in serious condition, 169 in moderate condition, 410 are stable and 597 patients are asymptomatic.
According to age groups, 46 patients under 9 years of age have been diagnosed, 76 are in the range of 10 to 19 years old, 835 are between 20 and 39 years old (the most affected group), 727 are between 40 to 59 years old, 196 are between 60 and 79 years and 35 patients are older than 80 years.
