  • Costa Rica records 28 deaths of patients COVID-19
    Saturday July 11, 2020 . The country registered this morning the death number 28 of a COVID-19 patient, a 41-year-old foreign woman.
    The death occurred in the San Juan de Dios Hospital, where she had been hospitalized since July 10 and was diagnosed with COVID-19 that same day.
    The deceased had arterial hypertension and an inflammation in her heart, called myocarditis, as a risk factor.
    The death is added to the 27 regrettable deaths already registered: 11 women and 16 men with an age range of 26 to 92 years.
    There was no communication with the family of the deceased person since there is no family record in the EDUS.

        Sunday, July 12, 2020 . The country registered yesterday at night hours the death number 29 of a COVID-19 patient, a 50-year-old man, a foreigner, a resident of San Jos?.
        The death occurred at the San Juan de Dios Hospital, where he had been hospitalized since July 9 and was diagnosed with COVID-19 on July 4.
        The deceased had hypertension, chronic kidney disease and secondary hyperparathyroidism as a risk factor.
        The death is added to the 28 regrettable deaths already registered: 12 women and 16 men with an age range of 26 to 92 years.

            Monday, July 13, 2020. The country recorded this morning the death number 31 of a COVID-19 patient, it is a 43-year-old man, Costa Rican, neighbor of San Jos?.
            The death occurred in the San Juan de Dios Hospital where he had been hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit since July 8, the same day that he was diagnosed with COVID-19.
            The deceased suffered from bronchial asthma and obesity, risk factors associated with COVID-19.
            The death is added to the 30 regrettable deaths already registered: 12 women and 18 men with an age range of 26 to 92 years.

                  Wednesday, July 15, 2020. As of July 15, the country registers 504 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 8986 confirmed cases, with an age range of zero to 99 years. There are 3,886 women and 5,100 men, of whom 6,325 are Costa Rican and 2,661 are foreigners.
                  here are 2,551 people recovered in 79 cantons. The recovered cases have an age range of zero to 94 years, of which 1126 are women and 1425 are men, by age we have: 1985 adults, 115 older adults, 388 minors and 63 are under investigation.

                  The most recent deaths were recorded this morning. The first of them is a 71-year-old woman from Costa Rica, a resident of San Jos?. The woman had been hospitalized in the San Juan de Dios Hospital since July 13, the same day that she was diagnosed with COVID-19. She suffered from diabetes, high blood pressure, and dyslipidemia.
                  The second death is a 53-year-old man, Costa Rican, also from the province of San Jos?. He had been in the San Juan de Dios Hospital since July 6, the same day that he was diagnosed with COVID-19. He suffered from chronic kidney disease, ischemic heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
                  The third death is an 82-year-old man from Costa Rica, a resident of San Jos?. He was diagnosed on July 8 the same day he was hospitalized in CEACO, in addition to age, he had tobacco smoking as associated risk factors and suffered from chronic non-stratified lung disease.

                    The most recent deaths were recorded yesterday afternoon. The first of them is a 77-year-old Costa Rican woman who lives in Puntarenas. The woman was admitted to the San Juan de Dios Hospital, being diagnosed with COVID-19 on July 15, the same day that she died. She suffered from skin cancer, multiple myeloma, and cardiac arrhythmia.
                    The second death is registered in the Calder?n Guardia Hospital, and the family is in the process of being notified.

                      The second is a 73-year-old man, a Costa Rican and a resident of San Jos?. The deceased was admitted to the Calder?n Guardia Hospital and was diagnosed on July 13. The only associated risk factor was age.
                      The third death is registered in CEACO, it is an 83-year-old man, Costa Rican, neighbor of San Jos?, being diagnosed on July 6. He suffered from high blood pressure and diabetes.
                      The fourth death is an 84-year-old woman, a neighbor of Heredia, diagnosed post mortem. Her risk history is under investigation.
                      The fifth is a 23-year-old Costa Rican woman who lives in Puntarenas. The deceased, who was diagnosed on July 14, was admitted to the Neilly City Hospital. She suffered from high blood pressure and chronic kidney disease.

                        • 67-year-old man, a resident of San Jos?, Costa Rican, died at the San Juan de Dios Hospital and was diagnosed on July 10. He had an associated history of smoking.
                        • A 62-year-old woman from Lim?n, Costa Rican, the death occurred at the Calder?n Guardia Hospital, was diagnosed on July 6. She suffered from high blood pressure and chronic kidney disease.
                        • 78-year-old woman from Heredia, Costa Rican. The woman was admitted to the Mexico Hospital, being diagnosed on July 9. She suffered from high blood pressure and heart disease.

                          • A 47-year-old foreign woman, a resident of San Jos?, was at the Hospital M?xico, being diagnosed on July 17, suffering from diabetes and obesity.
                          • 77-year-old Costa Rican man, a resident of San Jos?, was admitted to CEACO, being diagnosed by COVID-19 on July 4. He suffered from diabetes, chronic kidney failure and had a history of smoking.
                          • An 89-year-old Costa Rican woman from San Jos? was at the San Juan de Dios Hospital, being diagnosed by COVID-19 on July 17. She suffered from high blood pressure and atrial fibrillation.

                            • 84-year-old woman, Costa Rican, neighbor of San Jos?. She was admitted to the San Juan de Dios Hospital, being diagnosed on July 16. She suffered from high blood pressure.
                            • 44-year-old man, a foreigner, a resident of San Jos?. He was admitted to the San Juan de Dios Hospital, being diagnosed on July 19. He suffered from diabetes.
                            In addition, the Minister of Health Daniel Salas reported that the instruction for the use of masks is modified so that they are used in all closed spaces with the exception of places where food is eaten. This does not include dwelling houses or family rooms.
