    Flu cases are up in Toronto and across the country, but Ontario is faring relatively well compared to the rest of Canada.

    Flu cases are up in Toronto and across the country, but Ontario is faring relatively well compared to the rest of Canada.

    During the week of Dec. 14 to Dec. 20, there were 152 lab-confirmed cases of the flu reported, compared to 116 in the previous week. According to Public Health, that?s higher than the annual average over the past 10 years.

    Cases in Toronto were up again in mid-December, the most recent Public Health data shows.

    Since Sept. 1, 11 people have died in Toronto and 142 have been hospitalized with lab-confirmed influenza or influenza-like illnesses.
