    Summary

    In New Brunswick, decrease on influenza activity since week 4 and 5

    New Brunswick: There have been 43 positive influenza detections during week 9 (9% decrease from previous week), 28 influenza A (H3), 7 influenza A (H1N1)pdm09, 7 influenza A (unsubtyped) and 1 influenza B. The ILI consultation rate remained stable compared to previous week and was below the expected range for this time of year. Continued decrease since week 4 in the number of reported ILI and influenza-confirmed outbreaks; 1 in a Nursing Home.

      In New Brunswick, low influenza activity for week 14

      There have been 12 positive influenza detections during week 14 (3% increase from previous week), 2 influenza A (H3), 3 influenza A (H1N1)pdm09 and 7 influenza B. The ILI consultation rate increased and was within the expected range for this time of year. No new influenza or ILI outbreaks were reported.

The ILI consultation rate was low and was slightly below the expected range for this time of year. No new influenza or ILI outbreaks were reported.

            New Brunswick: There have been 14 positive influenza detections during week 18 (6% increase from previous week), mainly due to influenza B: 2 influenza A (H1N1)pdm09 and 12 influenza B. The ILI consultation rate was low and was within the expected range for this time of year. One new ILI outbreak was reported in a school in region 6.
