Winnipeg's Children's Hospital and St. Boniface Hospital are limiting who can visit their pediatric and neonatal units, in an effort to curb the spread of the flu and respiratory infections.
Only parents will be allowed inside the pediatric intensive care unit and neonatal and intermediate intensive care units at the Children's Hospital, the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) announced Friday.
The same restriction applies at the neonatal and intermediate intensive care unit at St. Boniface General Hospital.
As well, both hospitals are allowing only parents inside their labour, delivery and post-partum units, according to the WRHA.
