    So far in the 2013/14 influenza season, the Provincial Laboratory for Public Health (PLPH) has reported 3 Influenza A cases and 1 Influenza B cases to Alberta Health. There were 1* lab confirmed influenza cases reported to Alberta Health in week 42 and 2 reported in week 41.

The bulk of the cases have been reported in Calgary Zone and Edmonton Zone. There were 194* lab confirmed influenza cases reported to Alberta Health in week 51 and 100 reported in week 50.

      To date in the 2013/14 influenza season, the Provincial Laboratory for Public Health (PLPH) has reported 781 Influenza A cases and 17 Influenza B cases to Alberta Health; 94% of cases to date have been Influenza A H1N1. The bulk of the cases have been reported in Calgary Zone and Edmonton Zone. The number of cases experienced by Central Zone and Calgary Zone this past week is higher than the same week last season. There were 327* lab confirmed influenza cases reported to Alberta Health in week 52 and 206 reported in week 51.
