    Manitoba reports 95 new COVID-19 cases and another death on Wednesday...

    ...The total number of deaths in Manitoba since the pandemic began is now 1,214, including 208 due to variants of concern...

    ...Of the 95 newest COVID-19 cases, 58 are in people who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 and 14 are in people who are partially vaccinated, the vaccination status dashboard says.

    The remaining 23 cases are in people who are fully vaccinated, but only a fraction of those have symptoms that are severe enough to be hospitalized.

    Among people hospitalized with active COVID-19, 77 per cent are unvaccinated and 14 per cent are fully vaccinated.

    Of the patients being treated for active COVID-19 in intensive care, 82 per cent are unvaccinated. There are no fully vaccinated patients in ICU.

    In all, there are 92 people currently in hospital due to the coronavirus, including 17 in intensive care. Those numbers are both down one from Tuesday.

    A total of 87 patients are in ICUs across the province for COVID and all other reasons, a Shared Health spokesperson said in an email. The critical care program's normal pre-COVID baseline capacity was 72...

      Manitoba reports 132 new COVID-19 cases and another death on Thursday.

      That's the large single-day caseload since June 19, when there were 151.

      Of Thursday's total, 95 cases are in people who were not fully vaccinated (58 not at all and 14 partially), the province's dashboard says...

      ...The province on Thursday also released details about a death on Wednesday, when no COVID-19 bulletin was released. That death was a man in his 100s from the Winnipeg health region, also linked to an unspecified variant of concern.

      The total number of deaths in Manitoba since the pandemic began is now 1,215, including 209 due to variants of concern...

      ...Among people hospitalized with active COVID-19, 84 per cent are unvaccinated and 11 per cent are fully vaccinated.

      Of the patients being treated for active COVID-19 in intensive care, 89 per cent are unvaccinated. There are no fully vaccinated patients in ICU.

      The five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 3.4 per cent provincially and 1.5 per cent in Winnipeg.

        Manitoba reports 132 new COVID-19 cases and another death on Thursday.

        That's the largest single-day caseload since June 19, when there were 151.

        Of Thursday's total, 95 cases are in people who were not fully vaccinated (78 not at all, 17 partially), the province's dashboard says.

        The Northern Health Region has 37 (26 not fully vaccinated), the Southern Health region has 33 (25 not fully vaccinated), the Winnipeg health region has 28 (19 not fully vaccinated), Prairie Mountain Health region has 24 (16 not fully vaccinated) and there are 10 new cases in the Interlake-Eastern health region (nine not fully vaccinated).

        The death is a man in his 60s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to an unspecified variant of concern...

          Manitoba reported 349 new COVID-19 cases and 7 deaths on Tuesday, the first update in four days due to the Thanksgiving long weekend.

          The four-day total includes 90 cases on Saturday,114 on Sunday, 79 on Monday and 66 on Tuesday.

          Of the 66 cases identified on Tuesday, 42 were not fully vaccinated (34 were unvaccinated, eight were partially vaccinated and 24 fully vaccinated)...

          ...Manitoba's intensive care program continues to operate above the province's pre-pandemic capacity, a spokesperson for Shared Health said in an email.

              Manitoba public health officials say there are 107 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths on Thursday.

              The deaths announced Thursday were a man in his 40s from the Southern Health region linked to an unspecified variant of concern, and a woman in her 50s from the Northern Health Region, also linked to an unspecified variant of concern, says a news release from the province.

              This brings the number of people who have died in Manitoba from COVID-19 to 1,226...

              ...Of the new cases, 60 are in people who weren't vaccinated, eight are in people only partly vaccinated and 39 are in people who are fully vaccinated, the province's online dashboard says...

                Manitoba has 92 new cases of COVID-19 and four more people have died from the disease, the provincial online data page says.

                The latest deaths bring the toll in Manitoba since the start of the pandemic to 1,230.

                Southern Health reported the highest number of new cases out of all the regions, with 30 new cases, followed by the Winnipeg and Northern regions with 17 each, Prairie Mountain Health with 15 and Interlake-Eastern with 13.

                Of the new cases, 58 people are unvaccinated, six are partly vaccinated and 28 are fully vaccinated.

                The provincial five-day test positivity rate is 3.2 per cent, down from 3.8 per cent on Thursday. There is no update for the test positivity rate in Winnipeg on Friday.

                There are 92 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, one fewer than on Thursday, 53 of them with active COVID-19. A total of 16 of the hospitalized patients are in intensive care units.

                There are nine ICU patients from the Southern Health region, three from the Northern Health Region, two from the Winnipeg health region and two from Prairie Mountain Health.

                Among those with active COVID-19 in hospital, two-thirds are unvaccinated, and less than a quarter are fully vaccinated...

                  There were 108 cases on Saturday, 88 on Sunday and 51 on Monday.

                  The death reported Monday was a woman in her 50s from the Prairie Mountain Health region, who had an unspecified variant of concern.

                  The province also provided details on Monday about four previously reported deaths from Friday, when no specific information was given.

                      Manitoba health officials are reporting 51 new COVID-19 cases and one additional death linked to the virus.

                      The cases reported Wednesday on the province’s online COVID-19 dashboard bring Manitoba’s active case count to 998 and the province’s five-day test positivity rate to 3.1 per cent.

                        Manitoba has confirmed 92 more cases of COVID-19, health officials announced Thursday. There were no new deaths from the illness reported.

                          The cases reported on the province’s online COVID-19 dashboard Friday bring Manitoba’s active case count to 954 and the province’s five-day test positivity rate to 3.3 per cent.

                              More than 40 per cent of the latest cases are in the Southern Health region, which has 31.

                              The Winnipeg health region has the next highest number with 18, followed by the Prairie Mountain Health region with 15 and the Northern Health Region with nine.

                              There are no new cases in the Interlake-Eastern health region.

                              Of the 73 cases reported Tuesday, 49 (67 per cent) are in people who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 and six are in people who were partly vaccinated, the province's dashboard says. The other 18 (25 per cent) are in fully vaccinated people.

                                Three more people in Manitoba have died due to COVID-19 and the province has 130 new cases of the disease, the province's online dashboard says.

                                Manitoba's five-day test positivity rate dropped slightly to 4.2 per cent, from 4.3 per cent on Tuesday. The seven-day average number of new cases rose from 97 to 108.

                                The total number of people in hospital due to COVID-19 rose to 83 from 78, while the number of patients in intensive care units rose to 22 from 17.

                                Wednesday's deaths bring the toll in Manitoba to 1,240 people, and the new cases bring the total number of COVID-19 cases to 60,738. Of those, 1,121 are active cases and 60,738 have recovered...
