    REGINA -- Saskatchewan reported 131 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, with 82 additional recoveries.

    Active cases in the province sit at 1,066, up 49 from Tuesday.

    Of the 131 new cases, 103, or 78 per cent, are unvaccinated. Another 10 cases are partially vaccinated while 18 are fully vaccinated...

    ... Eighty-two Saskatchewan residents are being treated for COVID-19 in hospital, with 15 people in intensive care.

    The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 122, or 10.1 new cases per 100,000 people...

      REGINA -- Saskatchewan reported 191 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing active cases in the province up to 1,203.

      Fifty-four more cases were declared recovered...

      ... There are 86 Saskatchewan residents being treated for COVID-19 in hospital. Sixty-five of the 86 people in hospital are not fully vaccinated. Sixteen people are in ICU.

      The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 129, or 10.7 new cases per 100,000 people.

      Total vaccinations increased by 2,841, up to 1,453,199. There are 680,397 residents fully vaccinated.

      The province has detected 12,423 variants of concern. Of the 8,684 variants detected by screening, 7,096 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 1,130 are Delta (B.1.617.2), 448 are Gamma (P.1), and 10 are Beta (B.1.351)...

        COVID-19 cases continue rising in Sask. with 244 reported Friday

        REGINA -- The Government of Saskatchewan reported 244 new COVID-19 cases on Friday.

        The spike of cases is the highest single-day rise since May 8, according to data on the Government of Saskatchewan's website...

        ... A total of 1,381 COVID-19 cases are considered active. The province’s seven-day average of daily new cases is 146, or 12.1 per 100,000 population.

        There are 84 Saskatchewan residents in hospital related to COVID-19, including 15 in intensive care.

        The province said 183, or 75 per cent, of Friday’s new cases are in unvaccinated people. Another 11 were partially vaccinated while 50, or 20 per cent, were fully vaccinated...

          Saskatchewan’s active COVID-19 infections up to 1,478 with 15 in ICUs

          ...Saskatchewan had its highest active COVID-19 cases in 12 weeks on Saturday.

          The province’s active infections have increased and now sit at 1,478. It is the highest number since May 24, when it was 1,537. The Saskatoon zone leads the province with 320.

          According to the provincial government’s dashboard, there were 187 new cases, bringing the overall infection total in Saskatchewan to 52,252. The seven-day average of new daily infections grew to 155 from 146 on Friday.

          In the updated data, Delta variant cases increased to 1,224 from the previously reported 1,130. Of the 12,430 variants of concern (VOCs), 8,784 have lineages identified by whole-genome sequencing.

          The province’s hospitals are currently providing care for 89 patients with COVID-19: 74 are receiving inpatient care and 15 are in intensive care units. This is the most hospitalizations since June 16, when there were 92...

              Saskatchewan is reporting six more deaths related to COVID-19 and 318 new cases diagnosed over a two-day period.

              On Monday, the province added 179 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths.

              On Tuesday, the province added 139 new COVID-19 cases and four additional deaths.

              Four of the six people who died were aged 60 to 79, and two were 80 or older...

              ...Of Tuesday's new cases, nearly 47 per cent are in the 20 to 39 age category.

              Saskatchewan has 1,625 known active cases and 50,583 cases are considered recovered.

              There are 100 people in hospital, 14 of whom are in the ICU. Of those in hospital, 69 per cent are people who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

              Saskatchewan's seven-day average of daily new cases is 184, or 15.3 new cases per 100,000 people.

                Saskatchewan reported 216 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, the highest amount of daily new cases since May 14 when 229 cases were reported...

                ...There are 108 people in hospital with COVID-19, including 20 patients who are receiving intensive care.

                Active cases in the province have dropped by 97, with a total of 1,528 recorded as of Wednesday.

                The seven-day average of daily new cases is 172 or 14.3 per 100,000 population...

                  One death was reported in the Southwest zone and another in the South Central zone.

                    REGINA -- The Government of Saskatchewan reported 258 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, along with two additional deaths.

                    Both new deaths were recorded in the North Central zone, according to data from the province’s COVID-19 dashboard. A total of 596 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died...

                    ... The government said 40.3 per cent of new cases are in the 20 to 39 age group. Of Friday’s new cases, 81 per cent are not vaccinated, while seven per cent are partially vaccinated and 12 per cent are fully vaccinated.

                    Saskatchewan currently has 1,753 cases considered active, the highest mark since 1,770 active cases were reported on May 22.

                    There are 97 people in hospital related to COVID-19, including 22 patients in intensive care.

                      REGINA -- The Government of Saskatchewan reported 369 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, the largest single-day increase since January 15.

                      One death, a person from the Regina region in the 40-59 age group, was also reported. A total of 597 Saskatchewan residents have died due to COVID-19.

                      The number of Saskatchewan Delta variant cases identified through screening rose by more than 300 on Saturday...

                      ... The province said 15 false positive cases were removed from total count.

                      There are 1,987 COVID-19 cases considered active in Saskatchewan.

                          COVID-19: 3 new deaths pushes Saskatchewan total to over 600

                          Saskatchewan has now reported more than 600 deaths from residents who tested positive for COVID-19.

                          On Monday, the Saskatchewan government announced three more COVID-19 deaths, which pushes the provincial total to 601.

                          Monday’s update also saw the province record 199 new COVID-19 infections and 195 recoveries...

                          ...Active cases saw a slight increase at 2,068. The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers is 228 or 19.0 new cases per 100,000.

                          Forty per cent of new cases are in the 20 to 39 years age category and just over 13 per cent of new cases are residents who are fully vaccinated.

                          Hospitalizations have increased with 111 people being hospitalized. 84 are receiving inpatient care while 27 are in ICUs.

                          The government shared that of the 111 patients, 80 patients, or just over 72 per cent, were not fully vaccinated...

                            Saskatchewan COVID-19 ICU admissions nearly tripled in August

                            REGINA -- Saskatchewan reported 30 COVID-19 patients are being treated in the province’s intensive care units. ICU admissions have nearly tripled since the 11 reported on Aug. 1.

                            One-hundred Saskatchewan people are receiving inpatient treatment for COVID-19 in hospital.

                            According to data from the Ministry of Health, ninety-seven of the COVID-19 patients being treated in Saskatchewan hospitals are not fully vaccinated.


                            The province reported 274 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing active cases in the province to 2,204.

                            The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 248, or 20.6 new cases per 100,000 people. This is the highest seven-day average since April 30.

                            There were two new COVID-19-related deaths reported. To date 603 Saskatchewan residents have died after testing positive for the virus...

                              Saskatchewan reported four COVID-19-related deaths on Wednesday as the number of new cases in the province continues to surge.

                              Three of the deaths were in people aged 60 to 74 and one death was reported in the 80+ age category.

                              There have now been 607 COVID-19-related deaths reported in the province since the start of the pandemic...

                              ...In the last 30 days, active cases have increased by 400 per cent, going to 2,372 on Wednesday from 474 on Aug. 2.

                              There were 321 new cases reported on Wednesday, the highest daily total of new cases since mid-April, with 35.5 per cent of the new cases in people between the ages of 20 and 39...

                              ...The hospitalization rate continues to rise, with 134 people receiving treatment — 30 who are in intensive care.

                              Health officials said 72.4 per cent of people hospitalized were not fully vaccinated...

                                REGINA -- The Government of Saskatchewan reported 267 new COVID-19 cases and one death on Thursday.

                                The province’s 608th COVID-19 related death was a person in the Saskatoon zone...

                                .. Approximately two-fifths, or 38.6 per cent, of new cases are in the 20 to 39 age group.

                                There are currently 2,466 cases considered active, following 170 more recovered cases confirmed on Thursday.

                                A total of 134 Saskatchewan residents are in hospital related to COVID-19, including 23 in intensive care. The province said 97 of the 134 patients are not fully vaccinated.

                                The seven-day average of daily new cases is 279, or 23.1 per 100,000 population...
