    Quebec reports 160 new COVID-19 cases, 9 more deaths as vaccinations top 7.2 million

    Quebec is reporting 160 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday and nine more deaths attributed to the virus, none of which occurred in the last 24 hours.

    Health officials say hospitalizations rose by three in the past 24 hours and now stand at 178, while the number of patients in intensive care remains steady at 39.

    The province says it administered 85,917 doses of COVID-19 vaccine on Friday, for a total of over 7.2 million; about 70 per cent of Quebecers have received a first dose.

    This comes as Quebec announced Friday evening that walk-in clinics won’t be able to offer Pfizer vaccines for the next several days due to a shipping delay...

      MONTREAL -- As three regions in Quebec get set to go from yellow to green zones, the province reported on Sunday 103 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of positive cases to 373,921 since the start of the pandemic.

      Of those, 361,352 people have recovered from the disease, an increase of 192.

      The Quebec Institute of Public Health (INSPQ) says there are 1,378 active COVID-19 cases in the province.

      Quebec also added two deaths due to COVID-19, which occurred between June 13 and June 18

      Since March 2020, 11,191 people in the province have died during the pandemic, the province says.

      After rising for the first time in weeks, hospitalizations dropped by eight, lowering the total number of people in Quebec hospitals to 170. Of those, 39 people are in intensive care wards, the same number as Saturday.

      On June 18, 17,300 samples were analyzed...

        MONTREAL -- Quebec has 90 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest number of new infections since August 25.

        That brings the total number of people infected to 374,011 since the start of the pandemic.

        The province's health officials state there were no new deaths; the total since March 2020 is 11,191.

        Hospitalizations are down by two, bringing the number of people in Quebec hospitals to 168.

        Of those, 39 people are in intensive care, the same number as the previous day.

        To date, 361,521 people have recovered from the illness.

        As of June 19, a total of 16,307 samples have been analyzed...

                Quebec reports under new 90 COVID-19 cases as hospitalizations fall

                In Quebec, health officials recorded 88 new cases and no additional deaths attributable to the COVID-19 health crisis Friday.

                The immunization campaign saw another 68,155 doses of the novel coronavirus vaccine administered since the last report. More than 7.7 million shots have been given to date.

                The number of pandemic-related hospitalizations continues to be on the downturn. It dropped by eight to 135.

                This includes 40 patients in intensive care units, an increase of two from the previous day.

                Meanwhile, the latest screening information shows 20,320 tests were conducted Wednesday...

                    Quebec reports less than 80 new COVID-19 cases as entire province turns green

                    Quebec reported 76 new COVID-19 cases as the province lifted more public health restrictions Monday.

                    The latest information comes as the government announced last week it will no longer provide updates on weekends and statutory holidays about the pandemic. The province saw an additional 254 cases over the past three days since June 25, but didn’t break them down for each day.

                    “In the last 24 hours, there have been no deaths,” Health Minister Christian Dubé wrote on Twitter.

                    “The situation remains very positive, which is excellent news as all of Quebec is going green today.”

                    The vaccination campaign saw another 77,687 doses of the novel coronavirus administered since the last report, for more than eight million to date...

                    ...Hospitalizations dropped by 11 to 124 since June 25. This includes 31 patients in intensive care units, a decrease of nine from last Friday.

                    Officials say 15,233 tests were conducted Saturday, the most recent day for which screening information is available.

                        In Quebec, authorities reported 71 new infections attributed to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on Tuesday.

                        Montreal reported 29 new cases, with no other region in the province adding more than 13 new infections.

                        An additional four deaths related to the health crisis were recorded, though none took place in the past 24 hours. They occurred between June 22 and 27.

                          Quebec reported 69 new COVID-19 infections and three more deaths, including one in the past 24 hours, Friday as the health crisis continues.

                          The latest information comes as the government announced last week it will no longer provide pandemic update on weekends and statutory holidays. The province reported a total of 162 new cases and seven additional deaths since June 30, but did not provide the exact numbers for Canada Day.

                            Quebec reported 49 new cases and one additional death attributable to the COVID-19 health crisis on Monday.

                            The most recent daily count of new infections is the lowest recorded in the province since mid August 2020.

                            The latest information comes as the province announced it will longer provide updates on the pandemic on weekends and statutory holidays. A total of 176 new infections were recorded over the past three days, but the government did not break them down for each weekend day.

                            The immunization rollout saw another 73,103 doses of the novel coronavirus vaccine given since the last report, for more than 8.7 million shots to date.

                            As of Monday, nearly 82 per cent of Quebecers 12 and up have received a first dose and 33.9 per cent of the total population considered fully vaccinated...
