    Quebec reported 279 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday and four new deaths, one in the last 24 hours.
    Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 371,361 confirmed cases and 11,148 people have died.
    There are 307 people in hospital (a decrease of 10), including 67 in intensive care (a decrease of one).
    98,232 more vaccine doses have been administered, for a total of 5,906,696 since Dec. 14.

    Quebecers will be able to move up their appointment for a second dose of COVID-19 vaccine this month.

    Those 80 and over will be eligible to do so starting Monday, through the online booking system Clic Santé...

      MONTREAL -- Quebec COVID-19 numbers continue to decline in the province, as active cases, hospitalizations and intensive care numbers all dropped to their lowest points since the fall.

      The province reported Saturday that 24 fewer people are in Quebec hospitals receiving care for the novel coronavirus, dropping that total to 283. Of those, 64 people are in intensive care wards, a decrease of three.

      The last time hospitalization numbers were below 300 was Oct. 1 when 285 patients were reported.

      Quebec added 228 new positive COVID-19 cases, bringing that total to 371,589.

      Of those, 357,425 are reported to have recovered from the disease, an increase of 427 from Friday.

      The Quebec Institute of Public Health (INSPQ) is reporting 3,014 active COVID-19 cases, a decrease of 201.

      The province added four more deaths due to the disease, including one in the past 24 hours, and three between May 29 and June 3.

      Since the pandemic began, 11,150 people have died due to COVID-19, according to the province. Quebec withdrew two deaths from the overall total after an investigation found they were not attributable to COVID-19....

        MONTREAL -- Quebec reported fewer than 200 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday with no new deaths due to the disease.

        The province added 179 new positive COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall total to 371,767 since the start of the pandemic.

        The last time the Quebec Institute of Public Health (INSPQ) reported fewer than 200 new cases was Sept. 8 when 192 new cases were added...

          MONTREAL -- Quebec reported 194 new COVID-19 cases Monday as intensive care hospitalizations dropped to below 60.

          There are now 265 people in Quebec's hospitals with coronavirus infections, a decrease of nine from the day before. In the ICU, there are 58, a decrease of three.

          In total, Quebec has logged 371,960 coronavirus cases since March 2020. Of those, 358,221 have recovered (an increase of 354), and 11,152 have died (an increase of three).

          Of the three newly reported deaths, one ocurred in the last 24 hours, while two were between May 31 and June 5.

          Health workers conducted 15,755 coronavirus tests on June 5 (Quebec releases its testing figures 48 hours after the reported day).

          From those tests, the province reported a positivity rate of 1.3 per cent, remaining stable from the previous week...

            MONTREAL -- Quebec has 150 new COVID-19 cases, the third straight day with fewer than 200 cases.

            That brings the total number of people infected to 372,109 since the start of the pandemic.

            The province's health officials also confirmed four more deaths, a total of 11,156.

            None of the deaths occurred in the last 24 hours, while three were between June 1 and 6. One death was at an unknown date...

              Quebec reports 178 new COVID-19 cases, 8 more deaths as hospitalizations drop

              Quebec is reporting 178 new COVID-19 cases and eight more deaths, including one in the past 24 hours, Wednesday.

              The latest daily count of infections marks the four consecutive day it is under the 200 mark and it is among the lowest seen since last September.

              Montreal is reporting the highest number of new cases, with 61, followed by the Chaudière-Appalaches region, south of Quebec City, with 21 new infections.

              The immunization drive saw another 77,070 doses of the novel coronavirus vaccine administered since the last report. The province has provided more than 6.2 million shots to date.

              Hospitalizations related to the health crisis continued to fall. There are 257 patients in total, a decrease of six.

              Of them, the number in intensive care remains at 60.

              The latest day for which screening information is available shows 25,054 tests were conducted Monday...

                MONTREAL -- There are 189 new COVID-19 cases in Quebec, bringing the total number of people infected to 372,476 since the start of the pandemic.

                Thursday's data mark the fifth straight day with less than 200 new cases.

                The province's health officials state there have also been two more deaths, a total of 11,166.

                None of the deaths occurred in the last 24 hours, while one was before June 3 and another was at an unknown date.

                Hospitalizations are down by six, bringing the number of people in Quebec hospitals to 251.

                  MONTREAL -- Quebec continued its streak of reporting fewer than 200 daily novel coronavirus cases Friday with 180 new infections.

                  The province also reported no new deaths due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, adding one which occurred between June 4 and June 9.

                  There are now 2,068 known active coronavirus cases in Quebec after 317 recovered Friday.

                  Since the beginning of the pandemic, 372,656 Quebecers are reported to have caught the virus. Of those, 11,167 have died, and 359,421 have recovered.

                  Hospitalizations continued to fall by the end of the workweek with seven fewer people receiving care in the province's hospitals. There are now 244 people in hospital due to the COVID-19. Of those, 59 are in the intensive care unit, a decrease of five.

                  Health-care workers conducted 22,726 coronavirus tests on June 9 (Quebec releases its COVID-19 testing data 48-hours after the reported day). This represents a positivity rate of 1.1 per cent. To contrast, when Quebec was reporting thousands of cases per day in December to January, the positivity rate peaked at 11.2 per cent...

                    MONTREAL -- The number of active COVID-19 cases in Quebec dropped below 2,000 for the first time since early September when the Quebec Institute of Public Health reported 1,970 cases Saturday, a decrease of 98.

                    The last time active cases were below 2,000 in Quebec was Sept. 5 when 1,983 were reported.

                    The province added 182 new novel coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, and the total number of infections since the start of the pandemic is now 372,838.

                    Of those, 359,698 are reported to have recovered from the disease, an increase of 277.

                    Quebec added three more deaths due to COVID-19, one of which occurred between June 5 and June 10, one before June 5, and one at an unknown date.

                    Since the pandemic began, 11,170 people are said to have died in Quebec, according to health officials.

                    Hospitalizations continued to drop in the province with 17 fewer patients receiving care in the hospital for COVID-19 for a total of 227. Of those, 59 people are in intensive care wards, the same number as 24 hours ago...

                        Monday marks the first day that major cities in the province, like Montreal and Quebec City, have turned yellow.

                        Most of the province is now either yellow or green, with orange and red zones completely eliminated from the map.

                        The province's health officials also confirmed one more death, for a total of 11,173.

                          Quebec is reporting 105 new infections and six more deaths related to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis Tuesday.

                          The most recent daily tally of new cases marks the 10th day that it is under the 200 mark as the situation improves.

                          Health officials say another 91,732 shots of the novel coronavirus vaccine were administered since the last report. More than 6.8 million doses have been given over the course of the immunization rollout.

                          The province has received more than 511,000 of the 546,390 doses of the Pfizer vaccine expected this week. A shipment of 654,080 doses of the Moderna vaccine is set to arrive as well.

                          The number of hospitalizations linked to the pandemic fell by five to 209. This includes 50 patients in intensive care, a drop of four compared to the previous day...

                            Quebec is reporting 153 new cases and one death Wednesday tied to the COVID-19 crisis as hospitalizations continue to drop across the province.

                            The latest daily tally is a slight uptick from the day before, but it marks the 11th day that new infections are under 200 — a number not seen since last September.

                            The province recorded an additional 87,000 shots of the novel coronavirus vaccine administered since its last update. So far, more than 6.9 million doses have been given.

                            As of Wednesday, anyone over the age of 45 can move up their appointment for their booster shot. Younger age groups will be able to do the same in the coming days...

                              Quebec is reporting 161 new cases and one additional death attributable to the COVID-19 pandemic Thursday.

                              The immunization rollout saw another 95,580 doses of the vaccine administered since the last report. So far, more than seven million shots have been given across the province.

                              Authorities say more than 79 per cent of those who are 12 and older have received one dose and 14.8 per cent have received two doses.

                              As of Thursday, adults who are 40 and older are also now able to bump up their appointment for their booster shot. Younger age groups will be able to do the same throughout the month.

                              The number of hospitalizations related to the novel coronavirus continued to fall. There are 178 patients, a drop of 14 from the previous day.

                              Of them, there four fewer people in intensive care units for a total of 41...

                                Quebec is reporting 127 new COVID-19 infections and two more deaths Friday as hospitalizations keep dropping.

                                Health officials say both of the fatalities took place before June 11 and were retroactively added to the death toll.

                                Another 103,391 doses of the novel coronavirus vaccine were given since the last update. Since the beginning of the rollout, more than 7.1 million shots have been administered.

                                When it comes to shipments, the province says 170,240 of the 654,080 doses of Moderna expected this week have been delivered...
