    Quebec reported 837 new COVID-19 infections and three more pandemic-related deaths Friday.

    Health officials say the number of patients rose by six for a total of 262. This includes 95 people in intensive care, a bump of eight compared to the previous day.

    The vaccination rollout recorded another 21,813 shots of the novel coronavirus vaccine administered in the past 24-hour period. The province has given more than 12.7 million doses to date...

      Quebec reported 837 new COVID-19 infections and three more deaths on Saturday.

      Health officials said that of the new cases, 629 (roughly 75 per cent) are inadequately vaccinated — which means either not vaccinated or less than two weeks removed from a first dose.

      Authorities said 27 people were admitted to hospital on Friday. The number of people hospitalized due to the virus stands at 264, with 89 people in intensive care...

        MONTREAL -- Quebec reported Sunday that 742 more people have tested positive for COVID-19.

        The Ministry of Health says 513 of those were unvaccinated, 39 received one dose more than two weeks ago, and 190 were double-vaxxed more than seven days prior to testing positive...

        ... Forty-three more people checked into Quebec hospitals for COVID-19 treatment and 30 were discharged. Of the new patients, 26 were unvaccinated, one received one dose of vaccine more than 14 days prior, and 16 received both doses more than seven days ago.

        Hospitalizations thus rose by 13 with 277 patients now receiving care in the province's hospitals. Of those, 87 people are in intensive care wards, a decrease of two.

        Of those eligible to receive a vaccine, 83 per cent of the population is now double-vaxxed (6,203,929 people)...

          Quebec reports 679 new COVID-19 cases, 1 new death

          Quebec reported 679 new cases and one additional death Monday as the province continues to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.

          The Health Department says of the latest reported infections, 457 were among people who were either unvaccinated or who had only received a first dose within the past two weeks.

          The number of hospitalizations rose by three to 280. This includes 92 patients in intensive care units, an increase of five compared to the previous day.

          Of the 27 people were admitted to hospital Sunday, health officials report 22 of them were not vaccinated or had received a single dose less than two weeks ago. On the same day, 24 patients were discharged...

            MONTREAL -- Nine more people have died in Quebec in relation to COVID-19, the province's health officials confirmed Tuesday.

            The total number of deaths is now 11,335 since the start of the pandemic.

            Quebec is also reporting 587 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 404,291...

            ...HOSPITALIZATIONS

            Hospitalizations are down by six, bringing the number of people in Quebec hospitals to 274. That is, 27 people were admitted and 33 people were discharged.

            Eighty-six people are in intensive care, also down by six with nine people admitted and 15 discharged.

            Of the new cases, 416 people are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated with one dose received less than 14 days ago; 31 are people who had one dose more than two weeks ago and 140 are people who received two doses of a vaccine more than seven days ago.

            Of the new hospitalizations, 20 are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated people who received one dose less than two weeks ago; none are people who had one dose more than two weeks ago and seven are people who received two doses more than one week ago.

            Health officials note the risk of infection for people who are not vaccinated is 8.8 times that of someone who received two doses and the risk of hospitalization is 34.2 times someone who is fully vaccinated...

                  MONTREAL -- Dozens more people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Quebec on Friday as the province logged 701 new cases.

                  Since Thursday morning, 50 people have been admitted to hospital with virus symptoms. The province reported there were 298 people receiving care on Friday after 35 coronavirus patients were discharged the same day.

                  Of that total, 10 people have been admitted to the ICU, for a total of 91 receiving intensive care.

                  As of Friday morning, public health was monitoring 6,478 active cases.

                  Two more people have been reported dead due to the virus.

                  Since the beginning of the pandemic, 406,429 people have tested postive for COVID-19 in Quebec. Of those, 388,602 have recovered, and 11,349 people have died.

                  The positivity rate is now 2.1 per cent...

                    MONTREAL -- Quebec public health is monitoring 600 active outbreaks within its territory as Saturday's coronavirus update reveals 795 new infections and 5 additional deaths.

                    A total of 11,354 have died due to the virus in Quebec since the pandemic began.

                    Most new infections were reported among those not fully vaccinated, with 567 positive tests returned to people who received a first dose less than two weeks prior, or never got a shot at all...

                    ... Hospitalizations increased to 301 as 37 more people were admitted with coronavirus symptoms.

                    Approximately one in three people in hospital are in the ICU, for a total of 90. Since Friday morning, nine more people are receiving intensive care.

                    Public health says unvaccinated people are 40 times more likely to be hospitalized after contracting COVID-19, with that group representing 32 of those newly admitted...

                        As the COVID-19 health crisis continues, health officials in Quebec reported 469 new cases and six additional deaths Tuesday.

                        The latest daily tally of new infections is the lowest reported in a single day in the province since August. The province’s public health institute registered 5,986 active cases in its update.

                        Pandemic-related hospitalizations rose by 22 to 321. This includes 94 patients in intensive care, a drop of one compared with the previous day...

                              MONTREAL -- Quebec added 643 new coronavirus cases Friday, with six more people reported dead due to the virus.

                              Since the beginning of the pandemic, 410,823 Quebecers have caught the virus. Of those, 393,595 people have recovered, and 11,377 have died.

                              Public health is monitoring 5,851 active infections, reporting 617 active outbreaks Friday.

                              There was an overall decrease in hospitalizations since Thursday's update after 35 people arrived in hospital with COVID-19 symptoms. A total of 36 people are no longer receiving care, for a net decrease of one.

                              Of those in hospital, 84 are in the ICU, where there were six new entries and 13 fewer people receiving that kind of care on Friday.

                              Friday's update was based on the results of 35,217 analyzed COVID-19 tests, for a positivity rate of 2 per cent...

                                Overall hospitalizations decreased by nine for a total of 301 with 32 fewer people receiving care.
