    Quebec adds 323 new COVID-19 cases as hospitalizations keep climbing

    Quebec reported 323 new COVID-19 infections but no additional deaths Tuesday as hospitalizations rose in the province.

    Health officials say 67 per cent of the new cases are linked to people who are either unvaccinated or who received their first dose of the novel coronavirus vaccine less than two weeks ago.

    Of the 323 new infections, 17 per cent are among those who have received a first shot two weeks ago or earlier while 16 per cent of new cases are among those who are fully vaccinated.

    The government started providing the vaccination status about new cases — with Tuesday marking the first day of doing so.

    The number of pandemic-related hospitalizations increased by six to 88. This includes 27 patients in intensive care units, which remains the same as the previous day...

        MONTREAL -- Quebec added 436 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday while hospitalizations due to the virus also increased by three for a total of 91.

        The number of people in the ICU was lowered by one, which means there are now 27 people in intensive care.

        No new deaths were recorded, however, the ministry of health corrected the death tally to 11,277 since the start of the pandemic "due to one death not attributable to COVID-19."...

          MONTREAL -- Quebec is reporting the largest increase of COVID-19 cases in months with 527 new infections on Friday.

          The province also reported two more people have died due to the virus, for a total deathtoll of 11,279.

          Both of those deaths occurred before August 19.

          There are four fewer people in hospital than on Thursday, for a total 87 in care.

          Of those, 30 are in the intensive care unit, an increase of three.

          There are now 3,285 active coronavirus cases in Quebec...

            Quebec reported 376 new infections and one additional death on Monday as the COVID-19 health crisis continues.

            The latest daily tally is part of the 1,402 cases recorded over the past three days as the province deals with an uptick in indicators.

            “We’re seeing some stabilization in the number of new cases,” Health Minister Christian Dubé wrote on social media. “This decrease is probably also related to the weekend.

            “We continue to monitor the situation very closely in our hospitals and intensive care units. We must not let our guard down.”

            Since last Friday, the number of pandemic-related hospitalizations rose by 12 to 99. Of those patients, there are 31 in intensive care units...

              Quebec is reporting nearly 350 new COVID-19 cases and three additional virus-related deaths over the past day.

              The Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux has added 345 new cases to the provincial total. Of the three new deaths, two occurred over the past 24 hours, and one was attributable from before August 17.

              Hospitalizations have increased by three across the province since Monday and now total 102. Patients in intensive care have decreased by two and now total 29 throughout Quebec...

                MONTREAL -- Quebec has 550 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of people infected to 386,015 since the start of the pandemic.

                The province's health officials also confirmed one more death, a total of 11,284. The death occurred before Aug. 18.

                Hospitalizations are up by eight, bringing the number of people in Quebec hospitals to 110.

                Of those, 33 people are in intensive care; up by four.

                As of 11:20 a.m., Quebec officials have yet to update how many new cases or hospitalizations are unvaccinated, partially vaccinated or fully vaccinated people...

                          Quebec recorded 386 new cases but no additional deaths Monday as the province continues to deal with an evolving fourth wave of COVID-19.

                          The latest daily tally is part of the official update from the government, which says a total of 1,569 infections were reported over the past three days. There are 4,405 known active cases in the province as of Monday.

                          Health Minister Christian Dubé said that while the data seems “encouraging at first,” he noted it hails from the weekend and that authorities will “continue to monitor the situation in the coming days.”

                          “We will also closely monitor the effects of the start of the school year and the end of vacation,” he wrote on Twitter.

                          Hospitalizations related to the novel coronavirus dropped by one since last Friday for a total of 125. This includes 37 patients in intensive care units, an increase of one compared to before the weekend.

                          “We can see the effect of vaccination on hospitalizations,” Dubé said. “It’s encouraging.”...

                                MONTREAL -- Quebec reported 699 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday along with one more death due to the disease.

                                Of the new cases, Quebec public health says 513 people were unvaccinated, 62 received one dose more than two weeks prior to testing positive, and 124 received both doses more than a week before the test...

                                ... There are now 5,058 active cases in the province, a net increase of 329 since Wednesday.

                                Since March 2020, 11,289 people in Quebec have died due to the disease.

                                Seventeen people checked into hospitals in Quebec for COVID-19 treatment and 17 were discharged meaning hospitalizations remained stable at 138 with 42 of those patients in intensive care wards, an increase of two.

                                Of the new patients, 14 were unvaccinated and three received both doses more than a week ago...
