Recently, there was a big surprise after thousands of chickens died almost completely on the farm .
One of the chickens suspected of having bird flu (H5N1) has been called to the production team's intervention team. And veterinarians of the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Battambang Province also inspected immediately.
The case of dead chickens occurred in a chicken farm owned by Ho Nam, located in Prek Ta Chreng village. Prek Norin commune, Ek Phnom district, Battambang province, where this location raises animals such as:
1 chicken (buy farm chickens Raised) 1300 heads, almost completely dead (the remaining 10 heads)
2. 178 ducks (28 hatchlings) died 1.
Twelve geese (not yet dead).
Mr. Pen Sitha, Director of the Production and Veterinary Office, confirmed that the chickens started to get sick on the 5th (Samok Teve) and continued to die. Next, by his professional force, the owner dug the ground and sprayed with disinfectant (TH4).
The head of the office said that after the inspection, the team collected analyzes (chicken) to check for the virus, he did not. Has received the results of that examination yet so far.
Finally, the team requested the general animal owners to provide information to the village animal health agency and the authorities as soon as possible in case of animals. Ill or die and report to Facebook Office or Battambang Provincial Department of Agriculture for timely prevention measures.
