The stock of 1.5 million AH1N1 vaccines donated by the World Health Organization (WHO) has been almost used up in immunizing some 8% of the population. The remaining 50,000 vaccines have to be used before they expire next Friday, a Health Ministry spokesman said yesterday.
?We targeted the members of risk groups such as expectant mothers, patients with chronic diseases, armed forces personnel and health employees for vaccination.
We expect to use the remaining stock in the next few days to immunize those who need priority,? the spokesman added.
He added that the health ministry would begin to vaccinate parliamentarians tomorrow onwards. The parliamentary staff was vaccinated last month
