  • H3N2 flu detected across Korea

Flu Virus Detected in Korea A strain of influenza has been detected in Korea in the first week of the global influenza surveillance period designated by the World Health Organization.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Wednesday, Influenza A, the H3N2 virus, was discovered between Aug. 28 and Sept. 3 from samples collected across Korea, raising concerns of a possible flu outbreak.

The symptoms are similar to the common flu.

Experts say people should cover their mouth when sneezing and wash their hands thoroughly.
