    MUGU/KALIKOT: Pneumonia and common cold patients have increased in Mugu district headquarters Gamgadi and other parts of the district with temperatures falling down after snowfall in the area recently.

    Across the district, more than 1,000 people have caught cold and patients of coldborne diseases lining up at the health facilities has become a familiar sight.

    According to Krishna Bahadur Rokaya, storekeeper at the district hospital, about 100 pneumonia and common cold patients visit the hospital daily. With the number of patients rising steadily, the hospital is running out of medicines, he said.

    ??At this rate, we will run out of medicines in two days,?? according to Rokaya. The store was almost empty as it had supplied a huge amount of medicine to health facilities across the district.

    Durshila Nepali of Shree Nagar-2 lamented she was compelled to take her daughter to a private clinic as there were no medicines at the district hospital.

    Life in Kalikot district has also been affected as the temperature radically went down after snowfall last Saturday.
