Tokyo, June 27 (Jiji Press)--The number of patients suffering from respiratory syncytial virus infections, which may force infants to develop pneumonia, has been rising rapidly in Japan.
Although RSV infections usually spread in autumn or winter, the number of infection cases this year has already been moving at highest levels since the current research method was introduced in 2018, according to the National Institute of Infectious Diseases.
