Dengue kills teen, the fourth and youngest person to die of dengue fever in Singapore
SINGAPORE: A 16-year-old boy became the fourth and youngest person to die of dengue fever in Singapore this year. Samuel Tan succumbed to dengue haemorrhagic fever at Changi General Hospital hours after he was admitted.
The Aedes mosquito-borne disease previously killed two woman, aged 92 and 86, and a 76-year-old man.
The National Environment Agency (NEA) said the number of dengue cases has dropped by 76 per cent this year.
