    NAWALPARASI: After the poultry capital Chitwan was hit by bird flu on Wednesday another incident has been reported in the Mukundaupr, Nawalparasi on Thursday.

    According to Dr Bodhraj Adhikari of the National Bird Disease Research Laboratory, they sent a crew to Mekh Bahadur Ale?s farm in Nawalparsai after they received information about the suspicious deaths of more than 600 fowls...

    2,200 chickens slaughtered in Chitwan

    CHITWAN, APR 04 -

    More than 2,000 chickens were slaughtered in a poultry farm in Shradpur of Bharatpur-8 after bird flu virus was detected among the fowls.

    After the Central Veterinary Laboratory in Kathmandu confirmed one of the subtypes of avian influenza virus on the samples gathered from the farm, the District Bird Flu Control Committee (DBFCC) had deployed a rapid response team to the virus-affected site to cull the chickens on Tuesday night.....

    A team of technicians is on a bird flu tracking mission at the different poultry firms here in the wake of the discovery of the disease at a farm.

    The tracking campaign with special surveillance has been undertaken in the area lying within three kilometers radius from the poultry firm where the H5N1 virus was found, said Bodhnath Adhikari, a veterinarian at the Bird Disease Research Centre, Chitwan...
