"An investigation is underway into a possibility that some materials used for medicines may have been tainted with melamine, health officials said yesterday.
According to the Korea Drug and Food Administration, a total of 27 drug materials including albumin and amino acid have been ordered to be tested for melamine, whose chronic exposure can cause cancer or reproductive damage.
The action came following the recommendations from the U.S. drug agency, officials said."
