ضمن خطة لتبادل الحيوانات بين الكويت وجمهورية كوريا الشمالية، وصلت البلاد في يوم 25 مارس الماضي دفعة جديدة من الحيوانات النادرة آتية من بيونغ يانغ اشتملت على دب اسود آسيوي، وزوج من غزلان السكية وغزلان الماء، بالاضافة حيوان الليمور وزوج من انواع الطيورالنادرة تسمى ?بالقزي الابيض?.

واوضحت فريدة احمد انه فور وصول الحيوانات الى الكويت وضعت في الحجر البيطري وفي اليوم الثاني تم اخذ عينات منها لعمل الفحص اللازم لها، خشية ان تكون احداها مصابة بمرض مثل السالمونيلا او انفلونزا الطيور او غيرها من الامراض الفيروسية الاخرى، مؤكدة انه تم فحص الحيوانات كذلك في كوريا الشمالية وارفقت معها النتائج التي تثبت انهما بحال جيدة ولكن نحن بدورنا نقوم بفحصها احتياطيا وللتأكد من سلامتها.
