On the 16th, the central avian influenza accident control center (heavy water version) revealed that it has confirmed that it is a highly pathogenic H5N8 type as a result of a close examination of the laying hen farm in Pyeongtaek where the H5 type AI antigen was detected.

Including this case, 96 cases of highly pathogenic AI occurred in domestic poultry farms and experience farms.

The heavy water basin performs reinforced quarantine measures such as preventive killing and restriction of movement and intensive disinfection of poultry raised on farms near the origin.
