    One bird flu outbreak from the dead birds swan in Ichinoseki 

     Iwate Prefecture announced on 14th that a simple test of the dead body of the Swan Deer collected by Ichinoseki city hospital gave a positive reaction of type A avian influenza. Conduct confirmed examinations at Hokkaido University and investigate whether it is highly pathogenic. It was the first time this season that a positive reaction came out in the Tohoku by a simple test of Avian influenza A.
     According to the prefecture, the carcasses were found on the viaduct of the Tohoku Shinkansen on the same day, and there was contact with the prefecture from JR East. The Ministry of the Environment has designated the area within a radius of 10 km from the discovery place as a wild bird monitoring priority area. A part of Kurihara city corresponds to Ichinoseki city.
     Both Iwate and Miyagi prefectures are planning to strengthen monitoring of wild birds such as reservoirs at their destinations.
