The State Ecological Inspectorate suggested that the crows died from the cold. Ecologists believe that the birds could die because of the oil refinery emissions.
Pictures of the dead birds in Kara-Balta have been published by the publication "Turmush" .
Manas Karabaev, the head of the State Ecological Inspectorate for the city of Kara-Balta, said in an interview with journalist Kloop.kg that the birds could die because of the low temperature. He added that now the department is counting the dead birds.

Ecologist Emil Shukurov denied the version of the death of birds from the cold. According to Shukurov, the cause of their death could be the emissions of the oil refinery, which operates in Kara-Balta.
"This is out of the question, because there was no frost. 100 percent of crows can not die from the cold. They are most likely poisoned by the emissions of the refinery, "he said.
A resident of Kara-Balta, Belek Kurmantayev, in an interview with Kaktus.Media reported that in the bordering village of Chaldovar, crows also die.
"My mother was visiting Chaldov yesterday. When she returned, she told me there were a lot of dead crows. She says that since the turn to the village and further along the entire road there were dead birds, "he said.
