Pakistan - Four children die of mysterious disease in Swat - measles
MINGORA: Four children have died while 12 others are fighting with a mysterious disease that has broken out in a remote village of Bahrain tehsil of Swat.
According to the relatives and parents of the children, the illness which could not be identified by the doctors had broken out in Ghon Pattey village of Mankyal valley a week ago. They said 16 children were shifted to the tehsil hospital in Madyan but there were no adequate medical facilities there due to which four children died.

According to Bahrain Nazim Habibullah, thirteen other affected children were shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital in Swat.
Habibullah added that the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) teams failed to carry out vaccination in the area, which resulted in the outbreak.

Mingora: At least four children have died and over hundred are hospitalized following measles outbreak in Mankial tehsil of Bahrain in Swat.
The health officials of Saidu Sharif hospital reported that over hundred children were admitted in the hospital due to measles epidemic and four of them have died.
The victims include three-year-old Salman and one and a half-year-old Luqman who are both brothers, six-year-old Sarbaz Khan and five-year-old girl Farhat.
