National Situational Update on COVID-19 (data as of 1st September 2020)
Highlights:
A 10-year-old girl and a 46-year-old man were detected COVID-19 positive last night in Phuntsholing. The girl is a primary contact of the DANTAK cases and the man was detected via a flu clinic. In total 2 cases were detected over the last 24 hours.
This takes the total number of positive cases in Bhutan to 227, active cases to 85 and 142 to recovered.
Definitions:
a. Confirmed: number of people who have tested positive through COVID-19 tests.
b. Active: number of people who are currently in the isolation facilities because they are still COVID-19 positive.
c. *Recovered: number of people who have tested negative on COVID-19 test and declared as recovered. Those who test negative twice over a 24 hour period are kept under 14 days of observation in a quarantine facility.
