The Arizona Department of Health Services has been providing daily case updates on its website each morning.
Maricopa County now has 251 cases, up from 199 the previous day. The county’s health department reported its first two cases in patients ages 17 and under.
Thirty-five Phoenix-area patients have been hospitalized, with 13 in the intensive care unit, and three have died.
On Tuesday morning, the state reported 326 cases of the disease caused by the coronavirus and five deaths. A sixth death was reported by Coconino County officials later in the day. The death toll remained at six Wednesday...

The state has done about 6600 tests between the state lab and commercial labs. About 95% negative and 4.6% positive.

2nd confirmed coronavirus-related death in Pima County

TUCSON, Ariz. — COVID-19 has now claimed at least two lives in Pima County, health officials confirmed Thursday.
According to the Pima County Department of Health, the patient was a man in his 70s with underlying health condtions ....

Pima County released Saturday morning that its COVID-19 death toll has risen to five.
To protect the privacy of the deceased and his family, the Health Department only said the most recent person that passed away was a male hospice patient between the age of 18 and 40.
The first death in the county was reported on Monday. That case involved a woman in her 50's with underlying health conditions. https://kvoa.com/news/2020/03/28/cov...n-pima-county/

A Tucson nursing home and rehab center has reported 27 confirmed coronavirus cases among its staff and patients. Sapphire of Tucson, on the South Side, announced the test results Monday morning.
The facility, just south of Banner UMC South — the former Kino Hospital — has 24 residents and 3 staffers who tested positive for the virus, company representatives said.
"As soon as the first patient showed symptoms, we were immediately in touch with the Pima County Department of Health," the company said in a news release.
"The source of the infection is unclear and remains under investigation," the company said.
There are 187 reported confirmed cases of COVID-19 patients in Pima County, among 1,157 in Arizona. 6 have died here, among 20 deaths across the state.
"We continue to collaborate closely with Arizona Department of Health Services and county health officials. We are also in contact multiple times a day with additional health experts in Tucson, ensuring we are taking every possible step to provide the appropriate care to all our residents," said representatives for Sapphire, a 240-bed facility near East Ajo Way and South Country Club Road.

Arizona coronavirus cases at 1,289 as death toll rises to 24

PHOENIX — Arizona now has 1,289 cases of COVID-19, and the disease caused by the new coronavirus claimed four more lives, the state health department reported Tuesday morning.
The case total went up 132 in the past day as the death toll rose to 24.

PHOENIX – The Arizona health department reported 124 new cases of coronavirus and five additional deaths on Wednesday morning, a day after the state’s “stay at home” order went into effect.
The state totals are now 1,413 cases and 29 fatalities....
